Rod Quinlan may be the platonic ideal of a realtor, all others being pale imitations. I called several realtors attempting to list my place. Almost no call backs, and generally no one wanted to be bothered with a listing that had tenants in it for another 3 months. I finally placed a low-ball FSBO thinking an investor would show up or someone who’s not lazy would get in touch. After a very convincing drip text feed I got in contact. I’m extraordinarily busy being a medical resident this year but Rod stayed in contact and had a gameplan from the start and wasn’t intimidated at all from selling a house under a management contract. When we found out the management company had been slacking on the property inspectors, he worked with a painting company he had connections to get the outside back in good condition. He checked the property out many times. While he’s driven to get the deal done, I’ve never witnessed anybody more dedicated to advising clients to do what’s in their best interest. Most realtors just want a fast sale, telling someone to lower the price is the easiest way to make that happen. Rod consistently advised me to hold out and probably save me twenty-thousand dollars after commission over what I was willing to take.
